Full vehicle wrapping
Compare full PPF and color wrapping by product, panel coverage, edge treatment and maintenance.
Start with the purpose of the wrap
A full wrap describes the extent of a film installation, but the phrase alone does not identify its material or purpose. It may mean broad PPF coverage for protection or a color-change wrap for appearance. Colored PPF means these categories can overlap.
Ask for the film manufacturer and model before comparing prices. Two offers both described as full wraps can provide different materials, coverage and finishing work.
Define what full includes
List the exterior panels to be covered and discuss excluded areas. Door jambs, hidden returns, trim, lamps and accessories are not automatically included because a package says full. Film suitability for each surface also needs checking.
Partial-panel coverage leaves a termination within a panel; whole-panel coverage moves that boundary toward the panel perimeter. Full-front packages and full-vehicle packages are commercial descriptions, not universal technical standards. A written coverage drawing is clearer than the package name alone.
Edges, seams and access
A wrapped return may move the film edge out of direct view where the panel and product allow it. A visible edge can also be an intentional part of a pattern. Neither technique guarantees freedom from lifting, and not every panel can be covered as one uninterrupted piece.
Discuss whether trim removal is needed and how sensors, fasteners and seals will be protected. A demand for invisible seams should not lead to excessive stretching or cutting into the vehicle finish. Pre-cut patterns and custom fitting each need final checks on the actual vehicle.
Compare the complete job
Paint inspection, contamination removal, film fitting and finishing all affect the result. Existing dents and paint defects are not repaired merely by covering them. Ask what preparation is included and how any unsuitable paint will be handled before work starts.
Compare installation and removal terms, care instructions and documented coverage. Do not convert another vehicle's price, working time or warranty into a promise for your car. Broad coverage increases the protected area; it does not make the vehicle immune to damage.
